Ground zeroes on last gen looks way better than GTA on last gen. Point? Gta is an ugly game. The grass, the cars, the models, the water, it's all ugly.

I would not call GTA a technical marvel, it's just a big city. The visuals are meh to me, and my god the framerate is abysmal even at sub 720p. I believe the word you were looking for was anti-aliasing, not anisotropic filtering.

my $500 budget htpc can do everything your xbone can do and plays games better on my tv if I want.

Max settings 60fps at 4k, not even a pipe dreamfor the xbone.

I run it maxed,60fps on both my rigs, one of which has a 7850 and was less than 500 but it still kills this with everything maxed except 2x aa instead of 4x.

The ps4 isn't comparable to high end pc from 2012, not even close. The gpu is barely mid range and the cpu is, to put it simply, a tablet processor. Its closer to a high end laptop than a high end desktop.
