The right to life begins at conception and ends at birth.

They should be *more* concerned about it because southerners aren’t equipped for cold weather. Minnesota can handle single digits because they expect it and know how. They have warm clothes because they need warm clothes.

Relocated to another route? Was she also a Catholic priest?

Good god, THIS. It’s partly a function of the fact that in places that don’t normally get extreme cold, people don’t own winter gear needed to deal with it safely.  Kentuckians don’t own the kind of gear that people in Minnesota own, for obvious reasons.  And then add in the fact that POOR CHILDREN may not have

Cancel school, motherfucker, because it’s the right thing to do.

Not a strong take. We’ve had a number of single-digit days since I moved to NC (and it’s significantly colder in the mountains). Not the -45 I experienced growing up, but plenty chilly. This is kinda like saying that people from anywhere north of Las Vegas don’t get to talk about hot weather, as they’ve never

As always the needs of theoretical children outweigh the needs of actual children.

Is it me, or does it seem like republicans’ vision of the world is one where we protect unborn children so they can be born and then culled from the herd if they are too weak to survive subzero temperatures and mass shootings?

The high school I went to up near Watertown, NY would do 2 hour delays on days with extreme cold. The reason? They could not get the furnaces to turn on.

The GOP: We care about young lives until they’re out of the womb.

My guess is that she is going to need that money, to help pay for therapy and such.

there’s a GoFundMe for the wall? Who are those idiots?

I guess I’m slow. She was wearing a Charlie Brown dress, but why is that funny?

When we bought our first house, my MIL would clean when she came to visit. And I LOVED it! A few visits down the road she stopped. I’m guessing someone told her it might be taken the wrong way but I was super bummed. But there’s no really good way to tell your MIL to clean your house when she visits. “Hey Linda, love

My wife has a knack for finding employers who throw great holiday parties where crazy stuff happens. There’s the year the chief edior knocked over the giant christmas tree in the Hilton, same employer a year later, got thrown out of another hotel.

Haha, understandable! But still—did the kids not just sit on the floor? I’m 29, but still the youngest of my generation in the family, and I usually just post up on the floor for every Christmas (when we’re not at the dinner table, anyway).

Neither disastrous, nor terribly unusual for parents, but still funny: our office party this week was kid friendly, so we brought them. Our youngest is going through potty training and said he needed to go.

Perhaps because it was started with the express purpose of eliminating the state of Israel. Entirely.

The most common thing I see from the left is demanding random Jewish people denounce whatever shitheaded thing Bibi just did. It’s like the old “Where are the moderate Muslims?”/“What about black-on-black violence?” canard, except more people realize it’s bullshit.

It’s antisemitic to randomly bring it up as soon as you find out someone’s Jewish to test their beliefs, make sure they’re “one of the good ones.”
