When you are dropping a couple hundred grand on a new combine or tractor every few years treating yourself to a new car or truck is peanuts. Multiply that by a lifetime and you end up with situations like this.

I’ve never met a poor farmer in this country.  You get paid when the crop comes in, you get paid (by the government or insurance company) when it doesn’t.

i think a lot of ppl are married to the wrong people then. Jeez..what a downer way of looking at it.
