Wow, I had noticed that too, about the same time - ramping up for Twin Peaks Return like myself, I imagine.

The MWT was baffling since it it intially doesn't appear to correspond with a recognized timezone. But it stands for "Mountain War Time", which arose out of the War Time Act passed in 1942 that established year-round daylight savings time to conserve energy during WWII (and ended on 9/30/45).
I always thought the Raveonettes would work well with Lynch.
The woman who drowned the Australian sheriff is the Scottish actress, Lindsay Duncan. Mark Linn-Baker and Lindsay Duncan are BOTH primary stars of "Perfect Strangers" (although completely unrelated shows).
Check out Timecrimes, and don't read anything about it beforehand.
All of the occasional tedium, weird pacing issues, disjointed narratives, general confusion about WTF is going on - I think the show is trying to get you in the headspace of a Host. Or maybe even it is actually from the point of view of a Host. I'm sticking with this, I think (hope) the payoff will be worth it.
Good lord, I've read all the comments so far and I'm totally disgusted (in the best possible way).
Because I'm a tightwad, my son was Dipper Pines for Halloween. However, he made me promise to be Bill Cipher. The materials for that yellow cardboard pyramid ended up costing much more than I anticipated, plus took 8 hours to make. It was kind of like an O Henry story.
Me too.
Wow, you are blowing my mind, all my life I thought my mother's name was Susan.
As an attorney who lives in the San Antonio area, I found the law enforcement figures who were being parodied simultaneously ridiculous, hilarious, and unsettlingly on the nose. Every episode of this show has been just gold, I love it so much.
My wife always gets hysterical
This should be an article on AV Club. Thanks for sharing this.
Fuck Hacking Robot, I don't want the illusion of that alternate reality ruined for me yet. Very disconcerting seeing all the show's principals sitting around in a brightly lit studio immediately after the muted colors I'd just immersed myself into. No aftershow for me!
I heard you saying that in Ehrlich's voice.
So did David Bowie write the tune "Fame" in anticipation of O.J.'s travails? The lyrics, penned 20 years before, are eerily prescient: http://www.azlyrics.com/lyr…
That gum you like is not what it seems.
Opening scene next week: Varys arrives at the Mereen fighting pit, and says, "Hey did I miss anything?"
I liked the episode up until Florentine bit it. Florentine suddenly dying from drunken idiot shenanigans seemed to me to be a completely contrived and scripted move that Louis CK inserted just to be a downer, like some kind of anti deux ex machina. It left a bad taste in my mouth.
Updike reference?
