Ah, like most things, the issue is so clear and easily solved (ban monetization of videos like these) but for some reason (greed) we’d rather just let these idiots get wealthy by dangerously disobeying agreed upon laws and norms.

I don’t ride bikes today, but I now have an image of having to show a grandchild how to operate flappy paddles on a bike some day.

The Engineering Explained channel on youtube has a great video pointing out the differences and extra needs of EV tires. It’s a bit heavy-handed toward a specific brand tire, I suspect a sponsorship, but still great info.

Spend 30 seconds to just take the license plate off you lazy ass.

I’m just grateful it wasn’t a slideshow.

Pictures of it taking up three parking spaces is appropriate.

I’ve owned six EVs so far, and none has shown any significant change in range from new. I’m not saying range doesn’t diminish, but most studies suggest it’s in the order of 1-2% / year. If the car has used a lot of fast DC charging to maximum charge, that might be different, but the average EV that’s mostly charged at

The seller has three choices at this point:

No it makes me think I have a right to a faster charger because my car can charge 2-6x faster than almost every other EV on the market, so if there are two cars parked in 350 stations that can’t even max out a 150 charger when the other 150 spots are empty, you’re damn right I’ll be pissed.

Talking about generations is like talking about BMI. They are academic terms that have overflowed into mainstream conversations and generally just devolve into people judging others. Reviewing macroeconomic trends and how big social groups act is pretty important for the general understanding of how stuff impacts

Ha! The joke’s on them - I don’t have a sex life!!!

Too bad the power delivery options are even more varied. The vast majority don’t offer 100w, and the newest standard offers 240w.

Checking Home Depot, the cheapest electric dryer is $209 and the cheapest heat pump dryer is $1449. At $85/year savings on your electric bill, it will take 15 years to break even. And it certainly won’t even last that long (also keep in mind that a heat pump dryer is massively more complex inside).

New vs old all depends on life situation.
