Yeah, I think it's because second wave feminism fucked up and only sought to help upper and middle class white women. It's hard to hate, because they did do a lot of good, but they also did not acknowledge women of color or men, or the queer community and the struggles that they had.... privilege is s a tricky thing…

To be honest, I think women are under more pressure to be "perfect" than men are. Women are expected to go to school, be independent, be beautiful, be involved with family, blah blah. Men get a pass on a lot of those fronts, while women are constantly pressured (subtly... but constantly) that they need to be perfect.
