I definitely agree that change is an integral part of life. I've lived most of my life on the go because my parents raised me on different sides of the country. I'm really stoked to have an assured, permanent place to live, but I wouldn't be where I am if I didn't put in those years in Philly.

Also in addition to soloing with kiddos, pets too.  I always take the dogs in and out on my side of the car/truck thru the back door so I can be sure to have a hold on the leash when I open the door. (Our one is a bolter). 

My hunch for the 3rd door being on the driver’s side was from the number of people who never use the back seat for anything other than a storage shelf, if you have stuff you want to put back there that is not people, you would like to not have to walk around the car to easily put that stuff in and take it out.
