I-87 runs through Yonkers and connects with the Cross Bronx and Bruckner expressways which lead to the Whitestone, Throgs Neck and Triboro (RFK) bridges that lead to Queens, Brooklyn and the rest of Long Island, so the route isn’t impossible, just congested and tedious

Meh, 15 years is a long time in technology terms. EDGE was barely a thing 15 years ago (2o03 release), let alone 4G (2009-2011). I also think, to be frank, setting a target of 2035 means by the time 2030 goes around it gets pushed back to 2040 etc etc. That’s basically what happens with all of these regulatory…

Here in Germany, every police officer is armed, including those who conduct traffic stops. Patrols at high-interest targets like airports have been equipped with machine guns since the 70s, and patrol cars usually have one as additional equipment. Most states use the H&K MP5.

I’d be less likely to ride any bike, much less an ebike, in New York City than most other metro areas.
