Like everyone else has already mentioned, every Track/Maintenance Of Way department for every railroad ever has had these for decades. These dudes just put a long-base Changli on top of the frame. Whoop-de-do.

You can for sure break your neck if you are a rookie hitting the water at 60 mph. There isn’t the protection of leather on the water. They are actually really fuckin’ dangerous if you don’t know what you are doing. Water is basically concrete at speed.

The Spark is a just a hunk of plastic. It’s so garbage. It’s actually made from garbage.

You should have been riding before they passed the speed governing regs. I’ve been on a Kawi that topped out at 87 mph. It was insane. It was basically a Ducati for the water. Probably for the best it was outlawed.

That’s what that Jenner broad buys the brood after her kids get their ass enhancement surgeries.

Ok. That’s none of my business. It’s just where you lick your lips. It doesn’t define the character of an individual. If that’s how you choose to portray yourself to the world...well, then sure. I guess? Have fun in a realm of defined boundaries you created. On purpose.

Thank you.

Exactly. A franchisee is only as good as it’s fortitude to deliver a quality product. Half-ass people deserve half-ass rewards.

I really try to understand your perspective, Orlove. I really do. I know I could just not read your posts, but they kinda fascinate me with the crazy. That being said:

42.

That was a strange one, for sure! Woke up and could tell it was sunny out, but my hurricane shutters were rattling. Went out on my balcony and saw all my shit blowing off my dock. Not the most pleasant way to wake up, charging down to the water, lol. I’ve been in plenty of nasty storms in my day, but I don’t remember

I miss the old LGA. It made leaving town that much more soothing, to get out of the filth. Flying back into it is was a different story, but leaving out of there was fantastic. It was like leaving a 3rd world country, even if you were flying to a 3rd world country. It couldn’t be any worse, ha.

I don’t see the problem. I read the linked article.

I’m not sure who flipped on the proverbial switch that made everyone think that self-driving cars are a panacea. I get the stuff about “less hassle” and “productivity” and all that nonsense. In the end, however, it’s gonna paint us into a corner that we aren’t gonna be happy with. I, for one, am not thrilled about

Correct. That’s not the topic here.

I have no idea how it works in the “trades” like electricians, other than a good friend was in a union for painters and he shit all over it. They were a lousy union, apparently, with a lot of parameters surrounding who got to work on what.

Umm...working for the actual Port Authority (note: not a contractor) is a pretty desirable job. I’m not sure where you get the impression that nobody wants to do it.

Sounds about right. There are a lot of commonalities between longshoremen and railroad workers, which is where the extent of my knowledge is. Still, there are plenty of shittier union jobs out there (including blog writer at the Jalopnik “union shop”).

1st: As far as I know about it (which, albeit isn’t a megaton), working in the Ports is a pretty damn good job. The union is incredibly strong and the pay is enviable for most positions. I do know that those crane operators make a shit-ton of money. I’d imagine all of those folks are absolutely banking right now with

In sailing, other than getting whacked in the head by the boom, the spinnaker is easily the second-easiest way to fuck up an entire voyage. You are correct, sir. ha.
