But that sloppiness feels quite apt and deliberate for a low-budget 80s slashers homage

Cody Fern was so wonderful in Assassination of Versace but yeah, he seemed miscast in Apocalypse. I’m quite enjoying him here!

Or you can be like me and go to Sleep No More absolutely knowing about the Macbeth connection, and still never see much of anything that resembles Macbeth!

That’s what I thought. Never heard mention of her acting.

You stopped at the right time. There were some lovely moments in Season 3 but it was still a dip in quality. Season 4 and this musicale finale were insufferable

The latter, anytime

Definitely. Horrible people can make for very engaging television, but this show was really only able to sustain that for the first two seasons. Season 4 and this thing.... awful.

I have to admit I’ve struggled to tell the difference (even with the tiny hair difference) and am now delighted that I won’t have to anymore.

That definitely got a snort-chuckle from me, though how would they not already know what play it was? (Unless it was some po-mo pastiche thingy and the opening scene just happened to be the Macbeth opener, which is certainly possible)

So Facebook has shows? Are they free? Can you get a Roku app or anything?

Glad it gets a final season, at least! Fun summer fare.

How is it racist to make fun of racists? That’s perfectly acceptable and in line with what Quasar Funk was saying.

Yep, it sounds like he was footing the bill rather than having found a bunch of investors.

Oh right, I forgot! Well, seems like Connor himself is driving a lot of the bad buzz. On the other hand, could be an industry he’s not used to and where he’s not insulated from things that billionaires’ kids are usually insulated from. Who knows. I, too, wanted her to be surprisingly good.

Zero chance that was an Off Off Broadway theater they were in. A billionaire’s son producing, what, an AEA Showcase? But in some space with a champagne reception during previews in an elegant lobby with a massive marquee?

Yep, that was totally fair on his part.

And from seeing him in security footage (albeit masked)

Do we actually know the play is “shitty?”

I honestly don’t know, it’s just that it looked like a Broadway marquee and lobby. I assumed they were in Broadway previews.

I particularly loved the spot-on exchange when Kendall was impressed that Willa is actually a playwright and she reminded him how many times she’s told him that, and he was like, “Well yeah but Roman ‘wrote a screenplay’ so....”
