1st gear. This is what happens when you rest on your laurels. If you make products just good enough, then why would someone buy them? I would buy a comparable Korean car 100 times over anything Nissan is selling right now.
I have an idea for how to fix Nissan: Autoplay ads on the infotainment screen.
Most SUVs are objectively bad. Many are no better than your typical sedan, but cost more and have worse gas mileage.

This merger is going to go the way of Deadspin...a mass exodus of talent running for the door...a shell of the product...and a dumb owner oblivious to how dumb they are.

Alfa and Maserati, which for some reason are now both trying to be the Italian BMW, will be differentiated: Alfa keeps the Guilia and Stelvio, and gets a new “small and sporty” crossover, because that’s where the money is. Maserati loses the Ghibli, keeps the 4Porte, and replaces the Granturismo. Targets Porsche…
I think it’s just now occurred to me we might get Citroens and Peugeots in the US again. I’ve always been intrigued, but maybe because it was the forbidden fruit. Maybe a nice diesel car? But doubtful we’d see one.
