I switched to Ontario and never looked back.

I was doing the same, though I found the exact car I wanted (Fiat 500 Abarth, celeste blu, stick); while I was waiting and deciding, it went down by about 10%. I pulled the trigger.
Hertz, Icahn, Deutsche Bank... is there a solution where they all lose? Because they all deserve to lose.
That’s... actually what I paid for my 2011 Smart. And I love that car. I’m sure I would love this thing as well, though. Cheers.
I’d have to be rich as hell, but my first idea was to convert a Bombardier CL-415 into a houseboat-plane, then figure out some tiny car like a Bond Bug that could detach from it.
I’m recovering from... something... at the moment. There was no opportunity for me to be tested, so I don’t know if it was COVID or not. But after being out of commission for nearly three weeks, I finally got to leave the house to restock some essentials... only to find my little car not at all well.
I was interested in FCA’s deal, but I really only wanted a Fiat 500 and they aren’t that anxious to push them. Plus, I wanted a bright blue one and I seem to be able to choose between silver and white in real life. Ah well.
How are things? I dunno. I feel guilty for bitching, honestly: I’m still employed for the foreseeable future, I finally bought the house I always wanted a bit before this started, and my nesting partner is an amazing co-conspirator in quarantine.
This was a lot of my work in grad school, the reconceptualization of city-regions and the need for more multi-use development (think a lot of Jane Jacobs wed to environmentalism and the fundamental realities of the modern information economy). This needs to be how we build and how we live: not just for resource and…
This. A Fiesta ST would have been on my shopping list for my next car. But it’s all good. I’ll go elsewhere. *shrug*
But I’m sure some magical cluster of “real people” will love it...
Thank you, Patrick. Jalopnik is one of my favourite haunts each morning. Thank you for everything you’ve done here, and I’m looking forward to seeing your hand at the next place.
As someone whose car ambitions consist of a Mazda2 Touring 5-speed, spending 8x that on an electric car is pointless.
The entire Spirit Airlines terminal at Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Utter and complete anarchy. Someone was making soup in the bathroom sink; not in something in the sink, but just in the sink. That was just a hint for how the whole night went there. I would never even consider flying with them again.
I have a soft spot for old shitboxes, but that goes for cars, not owners. CP just to not have to deal with them.
I mean, it makes sense. I like small and weird, so I’m pulling for Peugeot, Citroen, and Opel. I doubt we get to keep all three.
I would love that. And I want to still get Opels so long as they let Opel be Opel, at least for a bit.
Can confirm. That’s how I bought a Kia Soul: rented one on a job interview and it was a ton of fun through the Cascades.
I hate that this will be my last Deadspin comments. Even if it’s lost to the greys, so be it.
I never much like the original 512, so a copy ain’t going to do it. Way more car fun out there at that price.
