I think you need to read the book 5 or 10 more times and you’ll definitely change your mind. I did like the movie (and have seen it 2-3 times) but I could never rewatch as much as I have read the book.
Neil Gaiman - Stardust. I read it about once a year and just bought a deluxe hardback version. I can’t wait until my one-year old is old enough for me to read it with her. I think that book is just about perfect.
Totally missed that in the video. Her reaction makes more sense now.
I agree to a point. The last book was terrible, I thought. One endless battle lasting hundreds of pages. I ended up skipping chunks of it (something I almost never do). And this is coming from somebody who read the first 10 books twice so you know I'm a glutton for punishment.
Yes, yes, yes. WOT was just awful by the end and this feels the same in many ways. Given how many threads there are to tie up in these books it’s likely that even Sanderson will be dead before its finished.
How about we just push him off the cliff. Both he and that stupid puzzle are equally annoying.
I’ll be honest. Before they started harping on about it, I had no idea about Mayweather’s history of domestic violence so I appreciate that, at least. It’s not like it’s been front and center in the regular media the last few years. So, I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt
I'm impressed with the solve speed but I can't believe he shot the video on landscape.
So true about the no shooting. There have been a number of incidents since the New Year where the police have chosen not to shoot armed suspects. Most recently two days ago.
Thankfully, there is considerable overlap making it a more feasible proposition.
Hey, I'm a fan but I still think the game is made up more of lulls in the boredom rather than lulls in excitement. There's already way too much bloat and standing around. Getting rid of the gimme extra point would hopefully help a little.
Not defending him at all. He is clearly a terrible person. This whole article is about how he might get off with murder. My only point is that he shouldn't be convicted just because we all "know" that he did it. It should be because the prosecution proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt.
Although it appears that he did it, I'd still rather see him get off if the prosecution can't do its job and prove the case. In the last few months there have been two individuals released from Death Row in the South after spending 25 and 30 years in jail respectively for crimes they did not commit because the…
I dunno, after the whole "African Studies" fiasco, it's hard to beat UNC for the most hateable team of the last few years. Watching the interviews on John Oliver where the guys talked about learning Swahili was nauseating.
That's what I was thinking. Norway at the beginning and flying just below the Baltic, ending up near Moscow.
And when you left college, I'm sure that you took an unpaid internship for 4 years in the hopes that at the end you would get a job commensurate with your talents.
Given that their costs are not going to rise substantially in the next year in any case (because the minimum wage rise will not kick in immediately) I can't help but feel cynical about this. If they couldn't stay open this year paying all of their employees minimum wage, they certainly won't be able to next year so…
Because it's not ok for said 56 year old Dad to have porn in the house and this just slips in under the line of respectability. Sports!!
Way to not understand statistics. In the age group most likely to be shot, about 66% are white and 14% are black. If the risk of getting shot was the same for both categories, there should be nearly 5 times as many whites shot as blacks in a given year. In fact, in 2012, there were only 3 times as many whites shot as…
