Maybe it’s because this looks like American Stir Fry. I mean really, cilantro and basil? Edamame? Cubed meats? Who does that?

Years ago, after discovering Better than Bouillion at Costco, I’ve never looked back.

The only thing that I was nearly blindsided by, was how the lender tried to sneak in PMI even though I had put 20% down; when I caught it and complained, the mortgage broker said he’d have the lender remove it (and it was removed).

I haven’t encountered your specific issue, but it’s probably because I rarely drive. To put into perspective, my Metromile’s year-end review reported that I drove 1,370 miles last year.

My per mile rate dropped the previous year; currently, it’s at 2.9¢/ mile.

I haven’t yet filed any claims, probably because I rarely drive in the first place, so I have nothing to contribute towards that. Love their app and all the data, and it’s just a painless, seamless experience.

I have Metromile. My renewal notice came last week, and my annualized base rate dropped $3 while my per-mile costs remained the same.

I just wanted to mention that I’ve previously purchased 3 of those Champion short sleeve Powertrain shirts, and they’ve all been priced below the current ‘sale’ price of $9.99 ($6.68, $6.82, $7.72). The method I use: I pop the colors I want into my saved cart and wait for the price to drop.

“This is the basic theory behind the Phillips Curve, which basically says there’s an inverse relationship between unemployment and inflation...Not all economists agree with the Phillips Curve, but obviously, there’s some relationship between wages and inflation, and it’s why the Federal Reserve has an inflation target

If I may, optimism without a reality check, is naivete, while grounded in reality without optimism is cynicism.

Slightly off-topic: I needed to get a replacement pan for my Zojirushi, so naturally the first place I looked was Amazon, but it turned out that Zojirushi’s own website had the part, and for less; one week later it was here.

Read the bill very carefully, because it does not say what has been described.

“Some worry these falling oil prices will eventually lead to deflation and cause a recession.”

I know, right?

If you buy farmed salmon, you have to be careful of its source. Chilean farmed salmon is not the same as Norwegian. Up here in the Pacific Northwest, I mostly see wild-caught salmon at the grocery stores, unlike how it was 15 years ago when you’d see farmed and wild, side by side.

Good point. No sense in increasing my tax liability, after already paying the tax on the lottery earnings, though, right? :D

  • Nothing at Whole Foods, is cheaper than at Trader Joe’s.
  • I would set up $1M trusts for each member of my family and a few friends, paid out in $10K annual increments to avoid adding to their tax liabilities.
