I don’t think you have any medical authority, either.

Sure. But you’re not getting it. Whatever made Clinton do that is a medical condition. And saying it isn’t a medical issue doesn’t make it not a medical issue.

The thing to remember is that high end or haute couture is very expensive and has thin margins for designers. They know that the customer they want is already wearing high end/haute couture, and makes a point of diet and exercise to stay thin. That’s who they MUST appeal to. Not the vast variety of women who will only

Yes. Also, I’m a lifelong sewist and design a lot of clothes for various body shapes... And I constantly study/lecture on old courturiers and haute couture, fashion history..

Yea if it’s literally used as a ‘hey look at this dress style we’re doing’ garment it makes sense to make them cheaply (or as cheaply as possible), especially if you’re going to be passing the samples around to different magazines and fashion publications to photograph.

That’s nothing! These samples get passed around from photo shoot to photo shoot and by the end of the season (which is typically a good 5-6 months ahead of when the clothes actually hit the stores), the samples are freakin’ gross. As they are so intricately cut and bedazzled and beaded and have all manner or appliques

I was just about to call this out too. I don’t have a body like “the real - world body” I have a fairly decent body that I’m proud of. I know people fat shame...but it sucks when there’s skinny-shame too :(
