I have my doubts.

I think that, to say, "never accept a counter offer" is a little harsh. I gave my notice to my job back in May, for many reasons. Salary and responsibility were my top two.

Boiled spinach is nasty even from fresh. sorry but that slime is not appealing. Fresh or steamed so it's not a gooey mess? Then it's great.

I could be wrong (since I've done almost the exact opposite thing suggested by the article, i.e., 23 years with 1 company, albeit having had 7 totally diff't jobs there), but my understanding is it's not just that the boom of Millennials hitting the workforce don't like the idea of staying "loyal" to one company too

That's when a guy walks up with the missing forty dollars and tells the woman it was on the floor by their table. To which she says "bullshit" and storms out saying that I'm a fucking thief. Moral of the story is, don't give small children lots of cash.

I imagine that guy probably paid out of his own pocket to make the

The actual definition of tip is: "a sum of money given to someone as a reward for their services". I'd guess the idea of paying servers lower than minimum wage came about in a time when most "servers" were young and only working to earn pocket cash. Times have changed and many servers work to pay bills and eat. The

Ok, I will be the troll here. Can I just say I shouldn't have to earn their service? Wait staff know the job they take. Some are better than others but all should do their best to meet the needs of their customers. They should do it because that is their job and it is what they are paid to do.

They're easier than pancakes from a box. I can have the first ones on the table less than 5 minutes after I walk into the kitchen and with two crepe

I would not classify these as Crepes in any sense of the word. I would give them as pass as "French Toast Tortillas"

I went e-reader a few years ago and I just bought Randall Munroe's What If book in hardback and I...can't....make...myself...read it. It's just too uncomfortable. There's no going back.

The $50/wk. is probably not an exaggeration, but more a misdirection. She probably saves $50 by buying large quantities of things she won't ever actually need that much of. I almost fell into that trap a few times. But the deal I scored where I ended up with 150 rolls of toilet paper was totally worth it. It's not

Slightly disapointed this isn't a list of tiny tools...

I lost something.. HANDWRITING. I find while of course I can still write, I have far less muscle memory than before.. I can't seem to make it neat, it's not a fluid non-thinking motion, etc.

Here's mine:

I managed to power through a intro to digital design class in college I randomly took with GIMP. It wasn't easy, but it got the job done. Nowadays things are a lot better looking on the free/cheap front. Have a favorite we didn't mention?

@Prairie Moon: And the reward for most random comment that I still only kind of get goes to... ;-)
