I as a reader am more interested in an author’s opinion on a videogame, not in an author’s opinion about the world and current state of the videogame industry in an article about ONE videogame.

Yeah hey sorry, but - are you telling me there’s been a magnify option on my Xbox One this whole time, and I haven’t had to get up from the couch to lean in close to my 50" 4k UHD TV to read the painfully-small text and instead could have just zoomed in with my controller? Yea. Of all the types to copy, this is easily one of the worst layouts to use.

I think they are trying to copy Wired’s layout, which is horrendous to begin with. Stuff is all over the place, it makes it near impossible to just go and find new articles.

Exactly. I assume it is a push from the top. This format allows Spanfeller to slip ads in between legit content, and collect clicks and $$.

Hard agree as well. Thank god for latest tab. This new look is absolutely horrendous.

The truth though is that increasing the price of games enough to offset increased production would hurt sales and profit more in the end. As much as everyone wants it, barely anyone would pay $200 for a regular copy of Cyberpunk, even though that would probably be cheap from a “content per hour” perspective. What
