Thanks. I saw that movie when I wasn’t much older than the girls in that movie and I was of that generation. The story really spoke to me, and the movie has stayed with me ever since. Angela gave a depth to her character that a lesser actress wouldn’t have been able to convey.

Well, for me, Branagh is alway going to be the scummy guy who cheated on Emma Thompson, and broke her heart. So there’s that.

Do yourself a favor and watch the 1978 movie version of Death on the Nile. Besides starring Peter Ustinov and David Niven, it also has Bette Davis, Maggie Smith, Angela Lansbury and Mia Farrow (who is outstanding as the antagonist). Plus there’s a slew of other well know, good actors in it.

About the only thing the novel and this movie have in common is somebody got murdered.
