Yeah, it’s not like anyone’s ever made fun of John Mayer.....

...and The Walking Dead, I’ve been trained to believe that “a show that gives me anxiety” must automatically be a “good” show.

This. This. This! Season 7 doesn’t get enough hate due to how atrocious S8 was. If the series ended right after Ceresi bombed the Great Sept of Baelor and Jaime just killed her immediately after she got coronated then the series would have been a huge let down but it would not have become the abomination it ended up

This. It’s not like the ending being terrible came out of nowhere.

So what actually happened? What was so terrible? I’m never going to watch this thing, I don’t care about spoilers.

Since I also wanted to know what happened having not seen the show, I looked stuff up and it sounds like this is the synopsis:

White kid accidentally(?) kills white kid, turns out the dead kid is son of a drug lord, so killer’s dad (a judge) decides to cover it up, lets a black kid take the rap, said black kid and his

I feel like show drove over some ice in the middle of season four and just spent another 35 episodes slowly careering towards a bridge abutment.

I had never seen a negative review do clickbait on behalf of the stuff it’s telling you not to watch.

I turned to my husband and said “this is basically a soap opera, a really bad one not even entertaining enough to be a spanish one”

Aw come on man, don’t make me or others waste time watching this because now I’m curious.

“then the literal ending, which was supposed to be some karmic retribution, seems to have been written by Van Jones.”

So I ventured over to The Ringer and read the article... some takes:

wow this whole thing reminds me of omar from the wire (the best character btw)

Wickersham reports: “The Patriots repeatedly offered Garoppolo four-year contract extensions, in the $17 million to $18 million range annually that would go higher if and when he succeeded Brady. Garoppolo and Yee rejected the offers out of hand ...”

Drew you are deadspins best guy hands down. But there is such a weird infiriorty complex this whole site seems to have with Simmons. I am a fan of both and do not have a dog in this fight. But I’m curious if you could elaborate on deadspins fascination with Simmons. He’s second only to trump in your sites hierarchy of

This is a load of insufferable on top of another load of insufferable.

Really? Wait, I don’t feel like I’ve gotten my point across enough…

You’re being completely dishonest about the Curran thing but whatever. Curran absolutely DID dispute the Jimmy offer. You are taking a Curran quote about something else (atmosphere surrounding the team) in the article and falsely attributing it to the Jimmy G offer part, which is what Simmons referred to. Can’t make

In the past week, Drew Magary compared a Tony Wroten standard cliche postgame quote (“trust the process”) to two different startup companies funded by Kevin Durant and Drew Brees.

Is is that slow of a sports news day where there have to be two articles about how bad of a sports writer Bill Simmons is....as if we couldn’t have found out how people feel about him here by simply searching his name...
