The consumer Pyrex brand was sold off a long time ago and doesn’t use the more expensive borosilicate glass. You can tell by the slight green tint it is bog standard soda lime glass.

Old Pyrex is different glass.

Machado’s reaction after the slide would lead me to believe it wasn’t intentional.

Well clearly, the guy with O’s starting his username has a completely objective opinion.

lol no one ‘spiked’ anyone - that was a completely natural move with an unfortunate (though fairly normal) outcome.

It’s clear as day it was unintentional but some Boston fans, predisposed to their persecution complex, seem to take one still frame and one bad weekend against Oakland as “proof” otherwise.

The weirdest part of this play was that it was actually the Orioles who challenged that Machado beat the throw (which he clearly did), but they still called him out.

Now playing

Hey, Wade was just stretching as well that one time...

Hindsight is 20/20; but what do we really expect by giving the flight crew almost unlimited authority over the passengers? Do we expect them to NOT abuse that authority?

I’ve done my share of domestic and international flights—both economy and business—on mostly American and Asian airlines. Domestic airlines in the U.S. have absolutely the worst customer service across the board. Continental and Delta are probably the best among the four (plus United and American), but that’s not

Take a nap, kid.

1. So your argument is that we will not affect policy change on a sports blog, or that it is impossible to reduce government spending by eliminating numerous instances of superfluous bullshit that escape scrutiny because they are unsexy or small budget?

“I’m not arguing whether it’s worth it, I just think it’s an incredibly stupid battle to pick.”

You assumed that the NFL pays for the trip with no basis whatsoever, which is incredibly dumb. I pointed out that the NFL uses taxpayer money whenever they can, which is entirely relevant.

Good job recognizing a rhetorical question.

I mean, it shouldn’t have to be a battle. Should be just “he guys, we’re not gonna do this anymore to save money.” Done.

NFL teams don’t even pay for their stadiums. We do. Why would they pay for a trip to the White House when they could have us pick up the tab?

Forget who pays for the travel. Since even college teams get to do this crap, that’s like 8+ visits a year and all the security, catering, and staffing that entails. Even if it’s $100,000/year (which I doubt), how is that expense worth it?

sI get what you’re saying is hopefully, “the Cavs needed Kyrie and Love to show up big and they did,” because if you’re dismissing LeBron all-time performance in which he led his team in basically every stat (and the other team in a few I think), then that’s a joke.

The mental gymnastics that you have to go through to say “Kyrie and Love are the reasons the Cavs won that title” and disregard LeBron must be a pain. Do less.
