In the case of Hotel door locks, the problem was that access to the electronics was on the outside of the door. I don't know about these locks, but that was simply a design flaw. If access to the electronic lock's electronics was on the inside-the-room side of the lock, the problem would have been a non issue.

Every one has a mechanical lock on the front side as well. Two of the four just fit over the bolt lever on the inside, one is basically just a regular lock with a motor built in, and the fourth very clearly states in the video that it comes with a backup key for entry if all else fails.
