I don’t understand the downfall of Littlefinger as a character. He was one of the most interesting and fascinating characters on the show for 4-5 seasons. In the past 2-3 seasons they’ve made him into a mustache twirling villain; completely uninteresting, with no motivations other than to make the audience despise

Good lord, calm down pal. It sure looked like blue fire, but hey, I’m sure you can come up with all sorts of logical gymnastics as to why that blue stuff melting all that ice wasn’t some sort of blueish fire.

I accept your apology ;)

Not only forfeit the earnings, but potentially open himself up to civil liability. In the same way that you can’t assault a football player during a game just because it’s violent, you can’t start kicking and grappling a boxer just because it’s a fight. Mayweather could allege lost earnings for future fights if

Holy cow- this is the longest way of saying “I don’t know anything about this occurrence” I’ve ever seen.

I wonder about these comments that Trout gets no attention. As someone who doesn’t pay much attention to baseball, and who lives in DC (literally the other side of the country), I see headlines and articles about Trout’s brilliance all the time. The guy has won multiple MVPs, and there are constant articles on places

How did this story break? I’m amazed that they couldn’t quietly reassign him to another game without it going viral.

I can’t remember where I read it, but my favorite comment came from some recap that accurately described Clarke’s reaction as more “did I leave the stove on” than quiet despair.

Debating people like this on Kinja is pretty futile. You didn’t 100% support his position, so therefore he concludes that you’re 100% opposed to his position, despite your repeated insistence that is not the case. You’re being clear in what you’re actually saying, and you’ve repeated it multiple times now. I’ve tried

With regards to point 1, that was exactly my thought. What the hell is the hound doing hurling rocks? Hell, once the wights charge he pounds the ice to sink one of the one’s attacking him. Why the hell didn’t the team just walk around pounding ice until Dany showed up? Of course, consistency wasn’t a big focus point

It also makes no sense that Littlefinger has been turned into a pure villain for the Stark sisters to get rid of. He’s been amoral at best the whole series- if it wasn’t for him Jon would be dead and Sansa would be either dead or back in Ramsay’s clutches. He manipulates things to his own advantage, but he’s no worse

“However, my point is that the amount of people complaining about logic going out the window has, for whatever reason, increased manyfold this season. And I’m wondering why this season.”

People just seem to take on faith that the REAL danger is the white walkers. I know I know, the show has beat us over the head with that via forced exposition. But so far they’ve spent seven seasons stumbling around beyond the wall. Sure, we saw them take over one tiny town north of the wall. But last night an entire

Dude, this show is WAAAAYYY past any objections that something can’t happen because it would be stupid.

I’m calling it now- it breathes blue fire. Blowing snow or ice would just look stupid.

“Calling it now - this is all a performance for Littlefinger and there’s gonna be a big reveal next week.”

I thought the same thing. I never get the urge to purposefully overplay a rhetorical hand. What happened was terrible enough- misleading language only allows those who disagree with you to have an easy target to attack your bias.

I watched 2 minutes of it and it made me physically uncomfortable. How do people watch an entire episode?

If the people that criticized him did so SOLELY on the basis that ANYONE on a sports team that is invited to the White House 100% must go then sure, that would somewhat inconsistent. But I’d imagine the opposition was more nuanced to that in many cases. Not to mention that the people making such arguments should

I didn’t see her saying “don’t do anything about Nazis.” She was saying don’t give them a target and an audience that they can use for propaganda purposes. She said take affirmative steps to undercut their message. You can disagree with her (I happen to), but it’s not “privileged” or absurd to say that the counter
