A) A sous vide precision cooker is not that expensive nowadays, and you can use it for a tremendous amount of different dishes. It also removes all guesswork from the cooking, making it essentially foolproof. I’ve used cast iron, I’ve used regular stove top, grills, etc., and for someone with my cooking skills sous

This seems great and all, but if you want the perfect steak just buy a precision cooker and sous vide the thing. I got one 3 or 4 months ago and haven’t made anything less than exceptional steak with it since.

That argument goes the other way too. A team that is good enough to avoid being down large margins (therefore having fewer opportunities) should also be talented enough to make coming back from down 15 easier, which makes Russ’s ability to do it even more impressive.

Lol, this is incredible. I don’t know how many times I have to point out that I 100% agree with the statement that all else being equal a conventional dunk is easier. Duh. As said above “Nobody disputes that.” I think this will be the fourth (maybe fifth?) time I’ve said that. I think I’ll quote someone who stated

And that right there is exactly the point- if it was “hard to reach the rim” then it was easier to throw it down from where he was. Like I’ve said, a conventional uncontested dunk is definitely easier. Nobody disputes that. But, as I said above, it was literally impossible for him to dunk here. Not for lack of

Ay yi yi, relax pal. We’re still in agreement, you just don’t want to see that for some reason. If it was easier for him to dunk it conventionally in this context then why didn’t he?

Lol, thanks! I’m not really sure what part of my other comment seemed to be taking anything about this seriously, but I always enjoy a human dunk highlight :)

Lol, agreed! Cheers :)

I’d say we’re in agreement. If there isn’t a defender there then the dunk is easier- definitely. The fact of the matter though is that the defender was there, and he tried his best to dunk it and couldn’t. He could, however, do what he did, so if he was trying to do both then the one he was able to achieve is the

Haha, sure, I’ll bite. What assumptions did I make?

Lol, sorry for violating the Kinja rules. I’m not sure how I was highlighting truthing. I figured I was just sharing a personal reaction to the post, but I’ve clearly offended many of you. Me not being all that awed by this play is somehow a personal affront to those of you that really enjoyed it :)). Glad you

Glad you liked it!

Jordan said that the reason he changed to the left hand was because he thought AJ Green (IIRC) was going to challenge his shot, so he had to adjust. That was more difficult, but only because Jordan thought the defense was going to do something it didn’t. In this instance, it was clearly easier for this guy to throw

I guess, maybe? I mean, he was trying to do a standard dunk and couldn’t, so it seems like if you try to do something and have to fall back on another option because you can’t achieve it then the fallback thing was the easier task.

Well, I’d imagine you go on liking the things that you like and I’ll probably go on being glad to know that guys like you enjoy them. Right?

Literally LOL’d. Thanks man :)

Oh man, I love that gif :)

Lol, it’s weird how much backlash and snark one will get for an opinion. Guy posts a dunk he loves, I use the internet comment section to post a response saying “I personally never get the love for these kinds of dunks.” Hey, if you guys love it then I’m happy for you. Enjoy! I just see people go crazy for this

Lol, I’m just pointing out that Deadspin frequently goes gaga over “dunks” that I wouldn’t even classify as a dunk. If it’s not that impressive then it doesn’t really seem worthy of it’s own article, let alone classifying it as a “dunk murder”, Samer Kalaf.

I’ll just never be that blown away by “dunks” where guys don’t even touch the rim. Sure, he did a great job throwing the ball down into the basket, but that’s nowhere near as satisfying as that “THUNK” sound of the hand slamming into the rim.
