Hahaha- you making a dumb comment referencing your profession= A-OK. Me spending a 5 seconds pointing out your comment was dumb=doing too much. Got it.

As an attorney as well I’m wondering how your reading comprehension skills are so poor. He said that from what the gif shows the player seems to be fair game, but also recognized that the gif is short and that the player may have been down prior to start of the clip. How is literally asking if the guy was down

Spence, any chance you’d be willing to answer a few questions I have about this issue? If so, thanks in advance. Are the cops that work the games on-duty (ie- being paid by the city) or are they moonlighting and the nfl just goes to the local police to find security personnel? Also, my understanding is that it’s

Squirrel?!

I think our only real disagreement is over the proportion of protesters who represent what you’re talking about vs. the ones I’m talking about. It depends on each person’s facebook page obviously, but most of the criticism I’ve seen has been of the “I don’t mind his message, only his methods” variety. The ones you’re

As someone who worked in the civil litigation division of a major municipality’s attorney generals office, I can say that I would be pretty shocked to find out that a large police department didn’t have ANY civil suits pending that allege civil rights violations. People get upset when they interact with the police,

For the most part it was. They had to resort to some conscription, but the majority of soldiers volunteered. Now, you can debate how free that choice was given that newly entering immigrants were frequently moved straight from Ellis Island to the recruiting station, but it was still a mostly volunteer army.

This is getting a little absurd with the hypocrisy. People are upset with Kaepernick for the way he’s protesting. His supporters are upset with the people who are upset for being upset at the way he’s protesting. It goes both ways. CK is allowed to protest the way he would like, but he’s not immune from criticism,

Bigger question- where is your hand? How did this guy win Olympic gold with no hands or feet? My concern is that he was another victim of a hit and run armed robbery by the Rio police, only this time instead of saying “whatever” when the gun was pointed at his head he meekly obeyed their commands, resulting in the

For one, his explicit statement that he’s not criticizing the military doesn’t mean that his action can’t be doing that. The flag to many people symbolizes the freedoms guaranteed by the sacrifices made by veterans. He can say that he’s not intending to disrespect them while simultaneously accidentally disrespecting

“Tuesday’s showcase was Tebow’s coming-out party after three months of working out with former big-league catcher Chad Moeller in Scottsdale, Arizona. Tebow showed up on the main field at 11 a.m., wearing a black Lycra shirt that accentuated his muscles, along with orange socks and an orange compression sleeve on his

Oh come on man. Personally, I completely agree that his protest was appropriate and fine. But I don’t think that anyone who has a different opinion on the consequences of sitting during the anthem is “shitty”. You’re essentially engaging in the same type of argument they are by claiming anyone who disagrees with your

I’ve wondered the same thing. I’ve seen plenty of people who essentially say “I agree with his underlying point, but I don’t agree with his methods. Here’s why.” But media sources like deadspin still say those people disagree with his methods only because they don’t understand race relations- ie, they’re racist

For an article premised on “stop being naive about what the Clinton foundation is”, this author demonstrates a shocking naivete about the consequences of shutting it down. Do you really think Saudi Arabia or multinational corporations will donate out of the goodness of their own hearts? Of course not. Like it or not,

Agreed. People should be convicted for the crimes committed by their spouses.

Unless I’m mistaken, police recruits don’t work 7 days a week. So it’s 28 weeks for a police recruit working 8 hours a day, Monday-Friday. A cosmetologist doing the same will take 37.5 weeks to finish 1,500 hours. I’d say 10 weeks, or 2.5 months, more training is fairly significant.

I’m not sure how the email scandal in any way relates to race relations. Please enlighten us.

Why would you do the police training in weeks while the cosmetology schooling is listed by hours...? For the record, if a cosmetologist is training for 40 hours a week then it would take 37.5 weeks to become licensed.

Keeping it classy there buddy.

Let’s just all agree that those pants are uncomfortably tight. No matter where his dick his, it’s being awkwardly smashed up against his leg in those pants.
