FWIW, there are many franchised dealer product sold on Amazon....by franchised dealers. Musical instruments and photo gear come immediately to mind. Just as with TrueCar, there’s no reason a vehicle - along with add-ons like warranties, prepaid maintenance, etc. - couldn’t be purchased *via* Amazon.
