You’re thinking of it the wrong way, Uber and lyft are NEVER going to be able to pay drivers like Employees and provide benefits. Ride-sharing needs to stop setting the price for a ride other than a minimum charge per mile as well as a ‘connection fee’. Uber and Lyft only collect the connection fee, because after all…
