My favorite story was “Sexism Alive and Well,” mainly because it happened to my wife and I as well.... what the hell is wrong with people?!
We were looking to get a 05-06' Jeep Liberty, the only car my wife loved during our test drive day on dealership row. Mainly because she’s 4'-11" and it was the only one she said…
I was also burned when we bought a previous vehicle! I was chatting with our insurance rep when we were looking to get the WRX and she asked if we were getting GAP through the bank, because if not the bank would require them to send proof of it. I inquired their price and I literally had her repeat it about 4 times…
We should all riot if this doesn’t get COTD.....
And, always get gap coverage through your car insurance company, never through the bank the loan is from. It’s considerably cheaper, usually by a factor of 10.
We have gap coverage on a 2017 WRX and a 2015 Forester and it’s $23/year.... Our credit union wanted $450.
The big thing that not many people realize is that you can request gap coverage through your INSURANCE company and it’s always cheaper than what the bank wants for it, buy a lot.
When we bought a 2015 Forester last year, our credit union wanted $450 upfront for gap insurance, it was $12/year to add to our insurance…
Capitalism at its finest if you ask me!
I’ll take one ordinary comment please.
Right, but not the violent, run you over with a car type, no no... if I was the screener, I’d fill his gym bag with bee’s or put dog shit in his shoes... you know, normal stuff.
I would have been, because I’m pretty sure they can’t trade him again until December.
700HP with these sort of cars really isn’t the whole story, it’s weight and down force. On the superspeedway’s, Indy Cars have their HP turned down to around 575 and they can still go 230+....soo....
- you’d have to couple it with an edict that student-athletes can’t lose their scholarship/funding if they lose their place on the team due to attrition/performance or injury; this would give them the ability to partially collect upon graduation without the fear that they might lose funding.
The one thing that needs to change, and change now, is that when a school offers a scholarship to a ‘student’ for athletic reasons, that scholarship is guaranteed for 4 years, regardless if the player is kept on the team for performance reasons. Obviously, it can be revoked for student handbook violations or for any…
DING DING DING.
All these jack-asses are just getting stuff signed to hawk it on E-bay. Any time you see a grown ass man trample a kid for a foul ball or to get an autograph, it’s because they’re going to try and sell it to make a buck.
Yes, usually water closets and urinal’s are split 50/50 or close to it, but they both count towards the total number for men. There are exceptions that you can get in the code if you can prove a disparity because of use or gender, but they are the exception and not the rule and most of the time if the owner stipulates…
Tell your HR department you demand one of these!
The firm I work for does mostly corporate office work and I don’t know if we’ve done a build-out in the last two years without a Wellness room. (Mother’s Room). Becoming standard thankfully, but still missing in older spaces.
Code dictates that men’s and women’s restroom fixtures must be equal in most cases and the rare cases where they are unequal, the count must be higher for women.
My wife made a sign printed on cow print paper that said, ‘Occupied’ and used the largest conference room at her office.
Also Hi! *waves frantically*
