Sure, it’s easy to say that when they don’t even post the trailer.

How does the luminous Juliette Binoche get relegated to “more”?? Sophie Turner is ‘more’ - Binoche is an international star of great critical acclaim and I expect more from the AV Club. Get it right.
Angers me to no end that celebrities will still seemingly line up to work with this pile of garbage (Russell, that is).
Oh man, you didn’t check in to see how this insane stretch of a nothing-burger was getting roasted over at The Root? Cause it’s getting no traction there, and it feels like their readership should know.
The Mexico City ending is just an excuse for a future movie to have a border wall, isn’t it?
Yep! The Peter Principle!
It was an hour too long.
I’m going to add this to the pile of articles that point out why Snyder films are bad but insist that their many flaws don’t matter.
Still doesn’t excuse giving Sean Spicer, a fascist collaborator, money to do a two minute scene that could have easily been done by any dumpy looking white man and probably for less money.
I just wanna point out the fun fact that, in the first Avengers comic, the Hulk joins the circus and pretends to be a clown robot.
from all the buzz around this, I think it’s a certainty that OG Switch games will work on the new one (probably with a boost in performance). It’s not a full new console, it’s a midgrade, more like the PS4 Pro. Everything should work fine — maybe you need a new dock if they mess with the dimensions, but I seriously…
Based on the headline and graphic, I wanted this to be a different post entirely, something about how it sucks that the senseless death of a young woman with connections to sex work or sexual abuse has been deemed a consistently fun, head-scratching way to kick off a detective show and help all the main characters…
I don’t think Lorde is reading these comments. But I could be wrong.
Opening with a murder and then solving it didn’t work out too badly for Eastenders. I guess the problem for Twin Peaks’ take on the soap opera genre was that none of the other storylines that they introduced – particularly that godawful stretch with James Hurley in another town – were remotely as compelling.
Truly pointless article. This could have just been a ratioed tweet.
You aren’t missing anything. This think piece is completely pointless, even if it did have any sort of coherent argument to make. Which it doesn’t.
I’m too lazy to check, but is Matt Schimkowitz the same person who made a remarkably similar (considering how different the shows are) think piece on here a week or two before Wandavision wrapped up?
I feel awfully naive as, I haven’t even thought about them deciding to have a second season (even if it has happened…
Well, in Twin Peaks there was a band, but it didn’t create the mystery that Siobhan’s band created. Remember when we were all wondering if the band in Mare of Easttown was the same band as Mannequin Pussy? But then we were all like, “Maybe they just cover Mannequin Pussy songs???? If only someone wrote an article…
Devil All the Time sucked. it wasn’t as baffling/headache-inducing as Tenet, sure, but it was just such a pointless parade of miserable things happening to miserable people with no attempt at engaging the audience or giving them respite. about the time of the suicide scene I just totally checked out, like I had no…
It seemed pretty obvious to me that Carrie fell asleep by the tub because she declined the uppers despite her fatigue because she was trying to be a better person (and mom).
It’s a way to garner viewer sympathy and suspense about the possible tragedy of the kid drowning even while his mom is doing the right thing. I…
