I read that scene as her thinking that he must have had a reason for only taking one sip and then leaving.

“[E]ven though Colin swiftly ruins the evening by demanding Mare show all her cards since he’s been showing all of his. Mare’s so offended, she walks out on him mid-chew.”

This week’s sponcon: How Mare of Easttown authentically captures DelCo’s love affair with Winston Brand cigarettes and why it is the preferred cigarette of America’s Sweetheart, Exciting New Rising Breakout Star and Lead Singer of Androgynous Angourie Rice.

Never trust someone with a freakishly low hairline. Dylan is clearly the culprit.

They better spend the last two episodes focused on Siobhan’s band or else that lengthy article about it here would have been for naught.

but the thing that makes this like John Wick is that it stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, an actor who doesn’t normally do action movies

As a European, I’m naturally not a Eurovision fan, but even I have to say... this shit can never work in the US. You will not even come close to achieving the particular brand of weirdness. Y’all are too culturally streamlined.

I’m admittedly a huge Trent Reznor fan and know he has spent a lot of time recently on movie soundtracks (and killed it) but IMO NIN is always a relevant band worth seeing live.

I think K. Flay and maybe PUP are the only two bands that aren’t in tiny print that would interest anyone under 25. But yeah, those people don’t have a ton of disposal income so why bother booking for that crowd?

The final Harry Potter film is wickedly entertaining, though I felt the creators misunderstood or glossed over the story’s deeper themes; it’s always annoyed me that Harry dueled Voldemort alone in the courtyard rather than being surrounded by his community of loved ones. Then again, I’ve always felt the final book

I read that as Real Time canceled and got excited.  I cannot remotely believe I used to like this show.  If smugness could become sentient, it would be Bill Maher.

I don’t know what the point of this article even is, and I suspect the writer doesn’t either.

I sense I pretty mighty backlash building against St. Vincent, and as someone who moderately enjoys her music, all I can say is, “Eh.”

Even if Lewinsky was a consenting adult, the treatment she underwent was still unacceptable.

Yes, thank you. That was very, very poor form of me, and I openly apologize for it. It was beyond stupid, and wasn’t acceptable.

“Groom” is becoming one of those overused words. It used to mean an older person in power manipulating a younger person using the power they have over them to normalize their terrible behavior. Now it seems to mean “any time we dun got fooled.”

Sorry, multiple things can be true. She may have been groomed and let down by multiple levels of society and somehow passed through far too many safety nets that should have prevented all of this from happening.

Is it weird that I’m really proud of Bautista? He’s had such a fascinating career. Yeah, he does the occasional action movie worthy of his athletic prowess, but then he gets cast in stuff like Blade Runner 2049, Dune, or the new Knives Out. He’s one of the few wrestlers-turned-actors who I feel loves the craft.

For God’s sake, Sam, can we cut this nonsense out? The “backlash” to the new Disney ride consisted entirely of one editorial on SFGate before Fox News picked it up and ran with their brand new culture war football. There is no need to play their game. I don’t care what two people on some editorial webpage have to say:

As a Jew, I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.  He didn’t say anything anti-semitic and condemned hate speech.  What do you want him to do?
