There are drunken oafs at NFL games? Quelle surprise! That would indeed be devastating for my position, if my position were that NFL games were free of this kind of horrible behavior. Alas, it is not.

Take care. I hope you have a wonderful discussion of Foucalt's later work with the Red Sox fans sitting next to you at the next game, and the next interminable 19 minute guitar noodle at a Phish concert lets you really get to know the Phi Epsilon Omega rush chairman standing next to you in the puka shell necklace.

Good thing there's no gambling in baseball, huh? It's such a pure, noble sport; I understand why you look down on the sheep who watch football.

Of course not. Red Sox fans are universally acknowledged to be a genteel, level-headed bunch who would never engage in boorish behavior. Perish the thought.

Hold on just a moment. You feel that NFL fans as a group are beneath you, and you are both a Phish and Red Sox fan? Holy lord, that's some notable lack of self-awareness, my friend.

I bet you're a ton of fun at Superbowl parties.

Can I ask you a question? What does someone like you get out of reading Deadspin, much less clicking on a silly story like this? I'm genuinely asking here—is it just for the sense of moral superiority, or is there something else you get out of it?

I'm not criticizing, I'm admiring! You're an artist working in the medium of faux-intellectual cliches, and I would never tell an artist how to work.

Bro, that is like...so deep, you know? A lot of people would hesitate to combine a "bread and circuses" reference with a "let them eat cake," but you didn't even hesitate. You are seriously the coolest guy in the freshman lounge right now, don't let anyone tell you differently.

Rulebook aside, the NCAA would not dare punish a ref who goes to the sideline (in a blowout, no less) and tells the coach "I'm not letting that player back on the field because he's obviously injured."

So when you see the post-hit limping - even collapsing

(the ACL isn't in ankle)

You sound like you're nostalgic for the days when no one would try and figure out why people did things like this.

fuck that. it was all bullshit, why do they constantly bring that up

You misunderstood. I was asking what the "everything else" was as it related to the Winston story. In any event, I'm not at all sure that the woman's attorney asking for a lot of money as a settlement, or saying something ridiculously racist, contradicts the facts or the situation of lessen the likelihood that

Ah, so you just have a generalized "everything else" beef with Gawker that has nothing whatsoever to do even with the unrelated story you're trying to shoehorn into this article.

Just out of curiosity, what is the "everything else" to which you're referring?

Deadwood was amazing, but I disagree that it was cut too short. You could see it was ready to go off the rails, but more importantly, if Deadwood had continued we wouldn't have gotten Justified.

The fact that a contract cannot trump state law isn't in doubt.

If you're trying to demonstrate that you don't have some issues with women, then you're not doing a very good job of it.
