I’m not bothered by the changes in the Special Editions despite being a first generation fan. The only part that really bugs me is the Jedi Rocks sequence. I’ll swear left, right, and sideways that Greedo shot first if they’d take out Jedi Rocks.

Have R2 deliver her final message to Kylo via hologram. The hologram effect might make her digital recreation more tasteful and it echoes a significant story beat from A New Hope. Having Leia die in the story is tragic for Kylo because he’s missed his chance for forgiveness/redemption (if they’re going that way).
