Phil, I applaud your restraint. If I was reviewing this show here (and I review it for my own site),I would be looking for scores higher than even the mythological A+ to give POI every week. I don't know how they do it but every week they elevate the show and surprise me. You'd think Carter's death would be the crux

This is the best show on network television and it's consistently amazing. The fact that no one believes me or watches it with me is depressing.

I can see why. It's associated to the rise of reality TV, hell, it's exactly WHY reality TV is so popular. But it's the same thing as a pioneer show or movie. Star Wars is great but the 300 movies that tried to copy it can't inherently reach that level. Different is that Survivor gets blamed for those 300 knock offs.

The funniest thing is that the production team doesn't really care about the misconceptions. Probst was saying in an interview this week that they don't make the show for new viewers but for fans. There's a slim chance that you're going to start watching on season 27 and they know that. Of course CBS might disagree,

I think they may have taken some tips from The Last Of Us to be honest. That game is fucking incredible, and I have these urges to go back and play it again, but they're mitigated by how heart-wrenching and painful the game was — in a good way. No game has ever made me feel that way, and if Telltale can tap into that

Haven't played TWAU yet, gonna try and load it up this weekend before TWD comes out next week.

I didn't mean in terms of gameplay but in terms of storytelling. The whole point of Season 1 was to protect this little girl not only from physical zombies but also from the realities of this new world. In a way it was a coming of age tale for her as Lee finally allowed her to let go of her previous life by (spoiler,

Like I said, as a journalist, he's really good, but I think he relies too much on trying to be the golden standard for the industry. I want to call him the Brian Williams of gaming journalists but even Williams mouths off once in a while when something bothers him. Dude is always straight and it's freaking videogames.

It's so enraging that TV Guide can't muster a better preview for Survivor than that generic line, yet CBS (and Global here in Canada) spoil the most important part of each episode on weekly basis.

I just thing it's the ebb and flow of the show. Right now they're focusing on uncovering Ichabod's past as that is the central conceit of the show but there have been episodes that have focused on Abbie and her family, plus tying her in that closely with Ichabod only guarantees future focus on her as well.

I think it's next on my list. Just finished Beyond: Two Souls and Assassin's Creed IV over the last couple of weeks. So it's next on my backlog along with some of the indie games I missed this year. But I might play the 400 Days DLC first assuming TWD season 2 comes out by year's end (or in January).

You know what? I'm kind of worried it will be The Walking Dead. I'm staying positive but they have a lot to live up to and I feel like making a little girl playable might be limiting.

The Wonderkids Assault Unit.

I'm more than willing to give Telltale all the franchises, but based on their history, at least one of their upcoming games is bound to suck. I don't know if they're spreading themselves too thin (they have 125 employees, which is on par with most Triple A studios) but it's a lot to take in nonetheless… we'll see but

The way people were freaking out about him on Twitter and gaming sites was amazing. It's a video game marketing show with a couple of meaningless awards sprinkled in and people were getting genuinely mad at him, even though that's pretty much exactly his comedic style and most of what he said was scripted.

Brian was actually on the wall in a few pictures. I dind't mind Tony Sirico or Vinnie this episode but the new intro made me feel weird.

He's probably just doing it so the Cool TV Reviewer Kidz club won't revoke his membership, committee led by THR's Tim Goodman. Honestly the vast majority of people who hate this show are critics I find. There are so many things about this show that are still great and like you said, it's often silly and hard to

I kind of feel like it's Simon Cowell just actively trolling us at this point. Our society has given him all the money in the world for his shitty reality competitions and he's not even hiding this cash grab. They're five mediocre X-Factor idiots who he stuck together and force fed to children. It doesn't even matter

wtf is a borgen?

Becca James, I'm officially in love with you for that top 2. I might have switched it though because I only discovered HAIM thanks to SNL and have been very much on a Chvrches kick for most of the year.
