Robert wasn’t really a bad guy. He was just a bad king.

I assume you also apply this thinking to Islamic fundamentalism and Islamic terrorism.

Nah...Jaime killing her would be so much more poetic than Arya or Tyrion.

It’s medieval warfare (with a dragon). I don’t know what you expect.

It’s because people are dumb. Life has made a lot more sense since I’ve started keeping that in mind.

“At any rate: that is dumb as fuck? Like, really lazy writing.”

Why exactly do you say that? It’s not like criminal punishments are routinely harsher in the US than in Europe...oh wait, they are.

Has anyone pointed out that two of the creators of Confederate are black?

that’s worth a star.

“uh, like, wouldn’t jezebel publish about 30 essays on cultural appropriation if nonindigenous folks started learning and using these languages more than native/culturally-connects speakers.”

I think there’s a big different between the douchebaggery you’re talking about and thinking that PETA just isn’t that great of an animal welfare organization, even if the cause itself is great.

“As I’ve stated elsewhere in the thread, my stance on “compensating for something” jokes is that as long as the butt of the joke is the man’s ego and fixation on his own junk, it’s all good. (Making fun of small penises themselves is just, well, dickish.) It’s the same reason it’s okay to make fun of Trump’s hair, or

if you’re talking about a guy who is simply on the smaller end of the spectrum, sure. but lets be honest, if a guy has a micropenis (which is more than just being a bit below average), he’s never going to have a normal sex life, and there’s a good chance he doesn’t have a normal romantic life either. look at the way

I’d say that there’s a bit of difference between it being included in your holy book and your preeminent religious figure clearly advocating for it. It’s much harder to say “sex slaves are bad” when the main guy in your religion is on record saying they are your right. And I definitely loled at your “Jesus was never

“I would be ashamed and horrified if the holy mission I believed myself to be on had this going on in plain sight, unashamed.”

If any group is likely to do that in the future, I guarantee you it’s liberals afraid that acknowledging this will lead to islamophobia. you can already see it in the way liberal leaning websites decide what and what not to report.

Men who belong to a very specific religion that teaches them that this behavior is approved by God.

Not that I’m aware of. I don’t have any hard evidence, but it certainly seems as popular as ever based on how much NFL commentators talk about it, and all of the related products that are sold online and in stores. This is purely anecdotal, but the majority of my guy friends play, and many are in multiple leagues.

I’ve never understood this “love the game” thing. Why should we expect players to love the game, and why should I care if they don’t? What does it even mean. It almost sounds cult-like, when some people talk about it.

That and fantasy football. I don’t think we talk about how much fantasy football has done to help the NFL. Especially with the quality of the games decreasing. Almost all of the games become must watch. Every week, it feels like I have to watch some terrible game because I need 70 yards from some random WR. I realize
