Call and say you are a friend of phoneowner, who asked asked you to call. Use info from phone to sound legit. Say phoneowner is in jail and needs you to wire $2,000 bail money.

Smart phones already have an “airplane mode” maybe it’s time for a “rental car mode” that would be restricted to charging and limited bluetooth access (maybe just the mic and speakers) but not share personal info, phone books or GPS data.
