When I was still a teen, I picked up a used turbo Mazda 626 coupe cheap, but it was their most fully decked out model back then.

Simpleton logic. Nothing is binary.

ALL those are laughably terrible!

”If people weren’t flat flooting these things everywhere you’d match it easily.

It’s not dirt cheap. If you want cheap, buy a house in the city outskirts rather than the suburbs - you can find houses for $50/sq.ft. That’s dirt cheap. I wouldn’t.

This is actually a pretty desirable suburb - best school district in all of Western NY, and our schools in general in this area are far above national

I need one.

Sadly - I think the “chicken tax” killed any prospect of these appearing in the USA. I say that, because the “chicken tax” is what killed the air-cooled VW type II single and double cab trucks in the USA, and is why “mini trucks” in any capacity don’t exist in the USA any more.

Traction = friction. Tires. Yes. Of course!

Who cares that your 4wd/AWD can spin more of the wheels that are ALL slipping?
That’s not traction. All that’ll do is get you moving forward from a stop marginally faster.

It looks awesome- If someone had a legitimate want for a huge car. But there’s the rub...

I keep seeing comments like “The only problem is...”

If you are 50 too, and she’s still hot...

To be fair - I usually HATE Mustangs. I grew up with imports, autocrossing, and usually chuckling at the insecure dudes talking sh!t about their musclecars and lifted trucks - ironically not even categories of cars that are “fun to drive”.
But I have pondered the “What if I bought one?” question, and the Mustang

It’s all very tidy and looks ostentatious AF.”

Who was it who followed who into “retro-style” again?

Any X to Y in any gear is only a disproportionate comparison of two car’s transmission gearing, AND final drive gearing.
