$15K for brakes (pad replacement?) is a deal-breaker, even if I were in the market for a supercar - much less a lowly Camaro.
At least the supercar doesn’t scream “college drop out didn’t do his homework on those brakes, did he?”

Not “correctly”.
“Correctly” would have been laying a couple scraps of 2x4 in the road at the base of the ramps - to drive the car up onto first, to lift the nose a couple inches so it doesn’t touch at all.
Same for the top of the ramp where it meets the tailgate surface - a few pieces of 2x4 laid on the tailgate…
Clearly members of Mensa at work here.
All they needed - in both cases - were a couple pieces of scrap wood. Maybe 2' long. Not even thick wood, since it was just that close.
Lay it on the street in front of the ramp, and that would have lifted the nose up for no-problems entry onto the ramp. Then lay it on the truck…

I’m not sure what you are referencing. I’m skeptical you can cite anything yourself. This feels like the same “I want to believe what I want to believe, rather than what is” that led to a ‘ban on Muslims’ and unjust blame on Mexicans. In the same way, that disconnect from actual objective measures in favor of…
Because most people have a family, or at least friends. It comes with “having a life”.
I suppose this is the toughest Jeep today, so maybe $40k doesn’t sound obnoxious, accordingly...
Pardon my begging to differ on interpretation:
“Fuck that”
That law doesn’t exist in the “rust belt” (Buffalo) in NY, but I’ve been cautioned not to ever buy cars from PA, because they have that law.
Not only could the case be made -
You must not be a Top Gear fan.
It appears you skipped my comment on resale value. And I suspect the rest of it as well.
