After a quick search the only thing I found about this actor and race and sexuality is praising Sabrina for making his character an ethnic minority and pansexual so I doubt he’s that far right.

I find it bizarre to frame their choice in this as ‘doing the right thing.’ I think decisions like this are entirely situational and should be a combo of doing what makes the rest of the cast comfortable and honoring the loss.

Recast, or don’t, but PLEASE don’t use “archival footage” or AI to plug the character in long enough to die heroically or some shit. The Rise of Skywalker had A LOT of issues, obviously, but their “Fallout Boy” approach to “honoring” Carrie Fisher’s legacy pulled me out of it from the jump.

The whiplash exists purposefully to say everything while examining nothing, for clicks. It’s a schtick that bad modern bloggers use as a replacement for substance.

He’s just saying what all rational people already know, but bloggers need to frame it in the “Brian Cox Says a Thing” trend that drives so many clicks.
