To paraphrase something I saw floating around today, “mass shooting survivors struggling to pay medical bills is the most American headline ever.”

What the fuck? How about we dress you up in catcher’s gear and put you behind a batter, then tell me how incentivized you feel to lean in and take some bats to the dome.

Dude. He got hit in the head with a fucking bat. You don’t think that might have impaired his ability to make the throw to first, or affect his dumb-ass decision to throw to first at all and not just cover up home? I am not a doctor so no clue if he was concussed or not, but I have a hard time believing if someone

The truly amazing part of this story is that it took a teenage boy more than four strokes to finish.

I don’t agree. At those angles and those speeds, how can a defender put himself in a position to make a tackle (or force the QB to need to slide) and avoid opening himself to that exact penalty? I’m not someone who longs for the old days. I’m just pointing out there is an inherent problem with that play. It’s a no-win

Listening to Cowher and Neon Dipshit defend this is amazing. It’s now Flacco’s fault for not getting down sooner.

I almost feel awful for mentally hearing Flacco say “Check please!” in a Daffy duck voice when he lifted his finger.

You are right. Its wrong. You are a fucking degenerate. You are the problem with the world today. Good god, what an asshole.

“Harbaugh knows what just happened—”

Well, the important thing is that MLB got what they wanted: a feel good story where the Cubs end up going to the World Series to defend their first championship in more than a century.

“Look at the almost look of shock in the eyes of Flacco.”

But was it elite?

Having graduated in college in 2005, I had both the Tucker Max and Maddox books. I would like to believe I wasn’t as much of a POS as they were, but as I was gleefully gorging on their materials, its hard to argue otherwise. Great write-up on how things have and continue to change, and the accountability many of us

Excellent intro, Drew.

Drew, thank you so much for the honesty in this column. Being upfront and honest about the shitty things we’ve done is important. I have a lot of things to atone for, too, and this is inspiration to keep working on being better.

Uber alles, one might say.

One thing European soccer does right - they don’t play the national anthem pre-game.

The fans are just exercising the free speech rights that their ancestors ensured by losing wars.

These fans are misunderstood. They just want good soccer and the trains to run on time. That’s all they want.

Could be worse, their players could be kneeling during the national anthem.
