I’m in this situation right now - the L28 block I’m building up for my 240Z had some nasty pitting around the bottom of the stroke on #4 that my hone wouldn’t touch.

I await cheap, clapped out teslas for this very swap.
The S130 and early mustang both run 14x7 wheels stock, the Mustang +10 and the Z +0 offset, so I’m not sure why you’d think there would be clearance problems. On my 240Z, I run +10 up front because it tucks the 7" wheel nicer than a 0 offset wheel (and the ‘70 - ‘78 Z front suspension is identical to the ‘79-’83).…
S30/S130 front suspensions would lend themselves to that space pretty well, and the front disks tuck under 14" wheels.
lolwut
A 280ZX came with an identical bolt pattern to an early Mustang (4x4.5").
I disagree with your assessment, but it’s largely just a matter of taste and familiarity. I’d have that thing in a shape that pleased me in a few days, easy peasy.
The 411, like the roadster that came after, was a body-on-frame car, sharing lots with the pickups of the same era.
My sensible self agrees with you, but my Stockholm syndrome is taking issue.
No, the Z32 never got anything besides the VG30DE or DETT in the ‘states.
At this point, I’d settle for someone competent.
I’m not sure that should be a surprise at all.
Spoken like someone who hasn’t ever had to maintain a high pressure steam system.
Counterpoint: the rock is bad because it’s shown how low our standards are for drivers.
How are you going to keep track of your leftover coke with a white interior?
I’m definitely interested in seeing how the boat on the trailer holds up.
No, forget the RS2. You can get all the Porschey-ness in a slightly larger ‘Murica package in the C4 S6 at 1/10 the price. Even better, it’s a hop, skip, and jump to put all that RS2 running gear into the S6, which nets you a bigger radiator and a more direct plenum/throttlebody setup (AAN vs. 3B).
Why not both? They’re good at different things, after all.
After round #1 with the wire brush, those floors would just be massive holes.
Wow, you sure showed us, commenting about how you don’t care about how clean your car is after an article about someone who’s paid to clean cars.
