I like to imagine that it’s more Chris’ mahogany, or teak.

Yeah, looking at the wiring diagrams for the low end flux core from HF (the Chicago Electric that Dave bought), there’s a lot to be desired. The feed speed will sag, as it’s on the same output of the transformer as the arc, for example.
I’m using an inert gas unit as a carrot to get my son to pay attention in 6th grade. If he does well, I will pick up a MIG around christmas time, but until then, I can’t buy it (or he’ll know my resolve is weak).
I used a spool of HF wire through the Lincoln and didn’t have any heartburn with it as opposed to the Lincoln “Innershield” stuff that I normally use (I picked it up on a lark, and also because I was having trouble finding Lincoln wire in .035").
Take that power rating with a grain of salt. I trust the low end Lincoln FCAW I picked up at the used tool store local to me a lot more than I trust Hazard Fraught.
That said, the feed mechanism looks remarkably similar to the Lincoln’s.
Because the US doesn’t regulate the use of “Engineer” as a word as rigorously as it should.
You’d think if everyone was only 7 millimeters, traffic would be much less of a concern.
Keeping your car stock when you’d prefer to mod it is like not having sex with your wife so she’ll be lower mileage for the next guy anyway.
FDs never came naturally aspirated.
I know you didn’t mean this, but the AE 300ZX would like a word with you about attenuated light output.
Doesn’t look any worse than the timing belt on a Z32, and I’ve done that one 4 times now.
Clearly if it’s just going to get that way, you should have bought a duster instead of a dart.
I find that with 3 project cars or more, I usually manage to have one running well enough to get me to work each day.
Oh, I’ve almost completely fixed it, just waiting on a radiator to finish the job.
I do enjoy a good serpentine belt setup. I wish this car had that option, but all I get is a 3 row crank pulley and manual tensioners :/
Enjoy the easy fixes. I just idioted my way into a $1000 (exactly) repair bill by replacing the alternator and overtightening the alternator/water pump belt.
I don’t think so.
There are plenty of spec series to watch.
I know, right?
