Respect must be earned; it's entirely possible that the reporter presented himself in such a way that he didn't earn it. In fact, from the recorded evidence, I'd say that's precisely what happened.

i think Mr. Lewis quickly identified this "reporter" as a clueless lightweight and treated him accordingly. Good for him!

Perhaps people are subconsciously aware of Sturgeon's Law.
