It said 73-83 so I leaned 83, worst case a 73 280E,does the job, or a 77 VW,so I get fuel injection

I’d still go for an 81 VW Scirocco or 81-83 Jetta. I like the A1 platform and had two Sciroccos, a Jetta and some time im my Mom’s 82 Rabbit Convertible. I would also really like a first year (1983) Landrover 110 or a well sorted Rover 3500.

I have never watched Shark Tank. My brain cells thank me for saving them from certain death by watching such dreck.

Yeah the underpants gnome business model is frighteningly common

Lift operators have radios and landlines to communicate with, some idiot didn’t communicate.

They’re not wrong, the Volt was a popular car and a lot are still on the road. An improved Volt, a hybrid Cadillac and a hybrid truck platform would bring in sales. Toyota and Hyundai certainly move hybrids so the demand is there.

Over two decades after the dot com implosion people should realize the "disrupting an industry" requires more than vaporizing millions of dollars in venture capital and "grabbing eyeballs". You need sound fundamentals and competent execution. Over spending on inventory and screwing up paperwork is a plan for failure.

Back in the late 80s Car Magazine declared the VW Quantum Synchro the ideal getaway car because it was totally forgettable.

Wait, the curb weight of the Hummer is almost the GVW of an F350? It’s going to be an epic race to see whether the Hummer or Cybertruck have the most offroad fails.

The Pontiac Le Mans immediately triggered the idea of rebadging as a Pontiac Lemons for crap can racing, if you can find a running example.

If it’s any help in identifying the future meth lab Komfort was a common brand of trailer in the PNW.

Perhaps Clarkson has learned a lesson from Kaleb repeatedly calling him a muppet during every episode of Clarkson’s Farm.

Ouch, I never really noticed when/where Bandon cheese dropped off the map. I usually buy Winco store brand anyway.

I'm wondering what the odds are that the driver was Californian? On the one hand Californians have done a lot of stupid stuff in Oregon,  on the other hand I  know someone who grew up in Tillamook and it's PNW hillbilly territory so it could be native idiocy.

We visited the cheese factory years ago. The process is interesting but smelly. Also the dark secret is a lot of Tillamook dairy products are made in Boardman up in the Columbia gorge.

My 78 Scirocco with the mismatched mirrors.  On the left was a remote controlled mirror with a bulky housing,  on the right was a base trim Rabbit mirror I had to install myself after carefully measuring and drilling the door to find the unused factory mount

This is why rubber particles are an increasing pollution problem.  The problem is the grip vs durability tradeoff.  More durability requires a harder rubber compound which has less grip. Soft grippy tires on heavy vehicles wear faster. Look at how quickly racing tires wear out

I think this listing is best described as “jumped the shark” Bring a Trailer.

on a serious note Zakspeed was a well known tuner and successful touring car racer so no different than a Mugen F1 team.

I haven't been keeping track for a while
