I’d still go for an 81 VW Scirocco or 81-83 Jetta. I like the A1 platform and had two Sciroccos, a Jetta and some time im my Mom’s 82 Rabbit Convertible. I would also really like a first year (1983) Landrover 110 or a well sorted Rover 3500.

We visited the cheese factory years ago. The process is interesting but smelly. Also the dark secret is a lot of Tillamook dairy products are made in Boardman up in the Columbia gorge.
My 78 Scirocco with the mismatched mirrors. On the left was a remote controlled mirror with a bulky housing, on the right was a base trim Rabbit mirror I had to install myself after carefully measuring and drilling the door to find the unused factory mount

I think this listing is best described as “jumped the shark” Bring a Trailer.
on a serious note Zakspeed was a well known tuner and successful touring car racer so no different than a Mugen F1 team.
I haven't been keeping track for a while
