Man, I don't think Jon is put off by women in battle. The dude was in love with a warrior woman which didn't seem to bother him. Jon just didn't listen to Sansa cause he didn't think her advice had any merit. Which it sadly really didn't because it was just too vague to help the night before a battle.

But Sansa wasn't really playing an angle when she confessed she knew little about war speak. She was generally confused by it all but had one basic piece of advice that was of little help. Partly because Jon wasn't listening, and partly because it's hard to translate that on to your war strategy when only one of you

Yeah, her win's concern a lot of circumstance too. It's how she's gonna turn this shit around.

Oh, I have a deadly assassin chasing me throughout the city? Imma' go get a hair cut.

I just love Yojimbo.

Thank you! That was my favorite shot from the episode. Him just looking down and dropping his sheath like, "Fuck it. Let's do dis," was just on point.

Fucking creeps, that's who. Or just very confident people.Or both.

Maybe Ramsay wanted to go out as a man who killed the last giant.

Well if there is to be any true equality, we can't just criticize Snow. Besides, I'm completely fine with this reflecting on later episodes since the majority of the characters are still learning.

Shit, what kind of turkey doesn't have the common sense to not do what the enemy is expecting? Whether your enemy is Ramsay Bolton or some twelve year old on the internet playing Arma 3, that's just some basic common sense.

They can't be the same thing?

Yeah, I remember the day General Sansa stood before her men and brother and told them, "JUST DO WHAT HE DOESN'T EXPECT YOU TO DO."

Yeah, people keep forgetting they're just watching a television show and should just take a load off from the world that will most likely treat them just as cynically for going beyond the real of common sense.

The big climactic bang of S5 for me was probably Hardhome. Everything after that sort of fails to generate that same cinematic fervor. But that could just be me.

Agreed. But there is definitely some thematic parallels.

Yeah, the only exception I can think of (that I've seen) is True
Detective: Season One, where everything finally came full circle in the
last moments. Maybe Deadwood did it once but I can't remember.

Because it's very sharp that you noticed TLOU's filmic inspirations. Those were very intentional by part of the creators. Good job, win for you.

Long game moves are just a Stark weakness.

But no, the running theme with Sansa this year is that she is pissed off AF. Next year, hell, even next episode will probably be the moment she finds her bearings and is able to purge her anger. The moments we've seen her strong and powerful this season have usually been when she's angry and dishing out some cold

Exactly. Little Finger told Ned himself not to do it. And what did he do? HE DUN IT. Good thing Sansa is prolly wiser to LF than Ned's dumbass ever was.
