You take that back! The 9000 was a fantastic car. Saab started their downturn when the NG900 rolled out. While it was still a good car, GM had started getting their hands around it by then.

Part of me says the pre-face lift was better looking. Part of me says it was post-facelift.

I often drive by dealerships and I’m amazed that they can sell that huge lot of cars to people. Then I think about the number of dealerships that exist in my mid-sized city. And all the dealerships that must exist across the US, and it’s just mind boggling the number of cars that get sold.

That’s equivalent to about $25,200 today.

Yeah, I want to worry about what pants and belt I’m wearing that day as I lean over the vehicle to fill it in the center of the hood. And then worry about every little drip on the way out.

I always liked the third gen looks. When it came out it felt super futuristic. I will admit that the second gen seems the most timeless.
