I’m reading your comments late but I’m really appreciating that you’re seeing, recognizing, and calling out this behavior in your son. My compliments!

Because you don’t have to ask “How much?”, you’re just assuming you can pay for it and sliding some cash over. Sliding the cash over asks the question for you.
You know, I didn’t even consider the possibility of people using them inside... that kind of squicks me out. I completely agree, they belong outside when in use. I was thinking people were just bringing them to have them, like regular cigarettes. Also I am unaware of any health benefits conferred by smoking cigarettes…
Any place in particular that you were surprised by the ban?
Ah, interesting, like how airlines want you to check the battery portion in your luggage. Just to help you keep the douchiness in check during flight.
And vapes in this context are... weed? or cigarettes? Why would they not be allowed to bring in e-cigarettes? Why would they be warning people to not bring in weed since it’s illegal in OH anyway? Confused non-smoker here.
I hate this! Literally this is why *your* pants have pockets and mine don’t, dude! So that I have to carry this purse! If you want to put something in it, you’re gonna have to carry it some of the time.
:-(
If the parent who’s “not around” isn’t getting visited or interacting with the family, sometimes it’s on them. My mother had Wednesday nights and every other weekend with my brother and managed to skip, trade off, or be late for most of her “appointments” to see her son. Eventually knowing that your parent can’t make…
Meanwhile a cute “family photo” of my fiancé with me and our dog was requested by our realtor as necessary for buying a house. Like the seller wants to know that they’re putting their house in good hands who might have a baby soon. Yeah right.
It’s completely doable with good credit. I have $20k+ in student loans and my fiance and I put about 5% down with help from our parents for a ~$300,000 house in Denver (an expensive city these days). The mortgage lender mentioned casually that he’d have lent us $500,000 for a place no problem.
I truly had a dream recently wherein I showed up to an exam for a class I hadn’t taken. Seriously terrifying stuff. Trying to convince myself mid-dream that I wouldn’t have let something slip like that... weird.

Sorry to cause confusion and apologies that I offended you. Did not intend to mischaracterize your statements. I agree that corndog above hit the nail on the head.
Thanks! That’s exactly it.
I’m not sure I should even answer this because I feel that you are just bound and determined that hugs are great and fine for everyone and everyone should have the same level of social intelligence, etc.
With that said, however, please let me try to clarify. For a lot of people (maybe not you, you could consider how…
No one expects the world to bend over backwards, but maybe the world shouldn’t also expect hugs when a friendly handshake would do?
Yeah, I’m pretty tolerant of hugs, came out of a hugging family, but kisses are a next level thing. I really am creeped out by someone trying to kiss me. Especially in the US. Countries I have visited where kissing is a thing, it’s not as big of a deal but I don’t love it.
In this context, a floating holiday more likely refers to the concept of a paid day off from work, given as a substitution for a public holiday and typically taken on a day chosen by the employee. (Source: second definition on Google, your definition is #1). For example, Easter Monday - my old workplace did not close…
