Why is the curator(?) not wearing shoes in two of these photos? The top one looked like nude flats at first but the one where she’s laying out the veil is clearly barefoot. Is that normal? Or for not tracking dirt into the exhibits? Or ...?

Hi Hillary, I thought this piece was very funny and just wanted to let you know that wielding (in the headline) is spelled with the i before the e. Thanks for writing, I enjoy your articles!
So, that is actually Emmy winner Jacob Young playing Lucky Spencer on General Hospital. Which I know because I used to watch General Hospital after I got home from high school. Although I only found out about the Emmy when I was looking up his name today.
Exactly. No way to win. womp womp :-(
At some point it stops feeling like the Omnivore’s Dilemma and just starts to feel like an eating dilemma. Shouldn’t/won’t eat meat, ethically. Growing my own vegetables sounds reasonable, except groundwater concerns. I mean, what is the solution? Aside from immediate death and composting of one’s own body?
It’s kind of amazing that you don’t see the potential of what having the 1st woman president and 50% representation in the Cabinet could absolutely do for “women’s issues” as a cause.
I do not defend smoking, and that is not what we were talking about. https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/strawman
Ah, interesting. Mine is 1942, so I suspect we don’t fall in the same category. It just feels old to me, although not like, Queen Anne old.
It is a provision often covered in child support arrangements, even if the child is technically an adult by the time the parents divorce.
Sometimes people eat unhealthy food for all sorts of reasons, and they may or may not have anything to do with “wanting” to eat it. The produce you mentioned is certainly cheaper than the processed/prepared foods (including chips). However, the cost for produce is really factored in when you consider the time it takes…
Do you mind sharing the age of your house? Currently I have homeowners and auto insurance with USAA. I was thinking of switching my auto insurance away, but then we bought the house so it went down a bit. Curious to know if my house falls in that range of “terrible rates due to age”.
No, I mean Colorado. :-(
Well, if you read through the DM article, Mohamed is the one who makes the connection that the bad press is related to his religion. But I completely understand how it would rub the wrong way and somehow I find myself of the unenviable position of defending the Daily Fail. :-(
Right?? Here is a thing: last 4th of July, a friend of mine made fried pimento cheese balls!! I ate so so many. Then we turned around (after all the food was finished) and my dog was lapping up the oil he used to fry them in, probably tasted great ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You are my soul sibling. :-) Man, did you see in that recipe she puts pimento cheese in omelets??? And CFA can suck it, never open when I want chicken anyway and THE BREADING SUCKS
You’re a hero!
Hell yes to both of those. Damn hard to have a good bloody mary without pickled okra. Please add also: Bojangles seasoning, pimento cheese, country ham, grits (surprisingly hard to locate a consistent source for regular, NOT INSTANT grits), my grandma, real barbeque, pecan pie, front porches, ceiling fans...
I agree that it is not truly related, but the Daily Mail seems to be using it as an explanation for why Hadid Sr. is claiming that all of this bad press is just anti-Muslim sentiment.
I moved West on purpose to try new things but I didn’t anticipate the pain of what I was giving up.
It’s pretty terrible trying to find Duke’s anywhere west of the Mississippi, too :-(
