Frankly, I think the James Frey Reputation boat sailed a long time ago.

I know this is true. I know it. But I sure have had trouble finding them lately. The last bunch of YA bestsellers I've read have had sloppy, poorly-controlled prose and I have had to work really hard to get through them. And when I compare them to something like Jo Walton's beautiful "Among Others"...

Damn..guess I need to learn what these hashtag thingies are for...

I like the concept of the story/books, but the writing is not that great. It's not atrocious, but it never pulled me in. Not surprised someone is not proud enough to put their own name on it. Someone should come up with the literary equivalent of "Alan Smithee." Lol.
