It's not like it's an either/or proposition. They could easily have online and local multiplayer.

Dear Gawker sites,

Most military "drones" are manned by someone with a controller. They're still drones. Drone is just slang for UAV.

It's Kotaku that's drawing attention to it. It's absolutely no different than tattle-telling.

Oh, sorry. I assumed you were attempting to make a real point, not just troll. My mistake, unless you actually want to answer the question: why is it Kotaku's responsibility to protect copyright infringers? Why do you expect them to hide developers from publishers with actual IP rights?

Am I the only one who just remembers Eternal Darkness as a pretty interesting game with terrible controls?

If they're getting canned, then it's because they were violating a copyright. That's not Kotaku's fault; that's the developer's fault.

News is news. If SquareEnix has a valid case against this guy, then they deserve to know what he's doing. If they don't, then it doesn't matter. Kotaku is under no obligation to protect someone who is violating a copyright just because you think what they're doing is neat.

"Drone" is just a catch-all term for UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles). This qualifies.

Nothing personal guys, but MS finally allowing indie publishing on the Xbox One. That seems like bigger news.

So won't be able to play as Link or with a GameCube controller?

Are you suggesting that there can only be so many types of games? That a type of game has to die off in order to allow a new type of game to arise?

That you think that's the point only proves my actual point.

I do not wish the demise of the game. Just the demise of the fad.

Why would you actively wish for the demise of something that thousands of people enjoy just because you have no interest in it?

Though our disagreement comes from that he shares no fault in the matter...less smart ass and more smarts would have gone a long way in his case.

He made the threat. Cops can prove that. Someone took it seriously. The cops can also prove that

Of course it's a free speech issue. Any time someone is jailed or silenced by the government for making a joke it's a free speech issue. Whether or not this guy is a moron or an asshole or is seeking attention doesn't factor into it; it's completely irrelevant to the conversation. You don't give up your rights when

Heh heh, well keep on ignoring the sole reason that got him in trouble

I still love how your ignoring the fact that if he set his posts to be seen by only he wanted to, he wouldn't be where he is right now.
