Serious competition? No. Not even competition.

People complain about it becuase the very idea that Dear Esther is a "game" is up for debate. All you do is walk around. There are also those that dislike the writing, but that is all up to opinion.

While on the ranchero?

In before Durango. Wait, wha?

He had some Dear Esther pics already posted in a previous "best of" week. In fact I suspect he took some of the promotional shots for them.

Interesting. I have not seen a difference in the Esther phantom sightings or the underwater scene but I have seen static prop changes in the environment. One shack had bloody surgical tools in it instead of pills and needles. Thought I was in the creepier original mod for a second.

If you have no interest in buying it, I uploaded a playthrough because I at least want you to see it. Since the dialogue is random at parts if you want to see more you'll just have to buy it after all.

If you are interested the soundtrack has been released now in the usual places (Itunes, 7Digital, etc.).

I have played both the original mod and this remake and I enjoyed both quite a bit. Do keep in mind what DJW said because he is right. All you do is walk around - that is IT.

Nothing wrong with trying new things, and I support it wholeheartedly. Yet when people demand something different from WoW, I always hope they keep in mind there are plenty of things WoW has done really well that appeal to a great number of people; granting them the large number of players they have today. Do not

Meh no harm in guilty pleasures. I liked the Marky Mark Max Payne and by all accounts that makes me some kind of deviant.

Pretty much the same thing at the fraction of the cost. Jus' sayin'

Now playing

Since I'm still on the fence about ME3, I wonder if I should just watch Hannah play through it. Would be funny in any case.

You...this...I better give someone my wallet for safekeeping.

It is extremely popular. Do not hesitate to invest time into it.

That hair worked surprisingly well...

Problem solved.

Well done!
