A long time ago, my first job out of college was a 3-month contract at the factory where they make the Lipton/Knorr noodle pouches. I was a broke-ass college grad with heaps of loans to pay and I lived on those (free) noodles for nearly a year. Maybe it’s been long enough that I can revisit them!

I freeze a lot of stuff using my food saver vacuum sealer. I’m a big fan of making double batches and freezing a supper for later to cut down on cooking labor and takeout (I can heat up a frozen meal even faster than pizza can be delivered).

What type of cleaner is this article referring to? I need examples. Do they mean Formula 409, Totally Awesome, Mr. Clean, and that sort? Or something else? 

Claire is not using gherkins with this, she is using a cornichon, which is a tart dill pickle and not sweet at all. In fact, Claire’s preferred brand, Trader Joe’s, is quite aggressively acidic, bordering on sour.

@maybe, if you have an older fridge with wire shelves, then sure. But most fridges made within the past 20 years already have solid glass shelves. Covering these with plastic wrap will have zero impact on air circulation, and are without doubt what the author was referring to.

Does anyone really not know these things? Do they not teach the kids anything in school anymore?  Or is it because I was schooled outside of the US?
